EcoLips Review & Giveaway

Eco Lips - The best lip balm for the world!

There are a few things that have to be in my purse at all times: My cell phone, a pen and something to write on, and something for my lips.

Over the past year or so, I've been a little more picky about what goes onto my skin and lips. There are a lot of companies that use not so great quality ingredients that can be bad for both your health and the environment.

A company called Eco Lips sent me some of their lip balms to try, and I've been loving them! Eco Lips is one of those success stories where the company started out in the founder's kitchen, and grew like crazy!

The first thing you should know is that these lip balms are made with certified organic ingredients, so what you are putting on your lips is natural, not full of icky chemicals. They even offer a Bee Free balm that is made with plant wax instead of beeswax for their vegan customers. Second, the company is one you can feel good about supporting. Their line of Cause Balms raise money for charity with each purchase.

I'm always curious about how many people actually read the posts about the products instead of just skipping straight to the giveaways, so if you are actually reading and therefore awesome, leave an extra comment saying whatever you want and include the word "giraffe" in it, and you'll get an extra entry into the giveaway.

I got to try out four different kinds of Eco Lips:

Picture of Eco Lips Gold USDA Certified Organic Lip Balm

Eco Lips Gold is sort of the go-to balm from Eco Lips. It is unflavored and unscented, so if you are sensitive to scents, this is the way to go. It is USDA Certified Organic and super moisturizing! I've found that a lot of products that claim to be unflavored still have some kind of funky taste, but this truly is unflavored! It leaves your lips soft and kissable without being all greasy.

I'm always saying I need an IV of caffeine, but this is a much less painful solution! This balm contains green tea, caffeine and B12 to give you a boost of energy! It also contains peppermint oil, which is an added bonus since sniffing peppermint can also help your energy. This is awesome to have on hand at work for those moments you can't get away from what you're doing for coffee, but seriously need a quick boost!

Picture of Honest Kids Berry Berry Good Lemonade USDA Certified Lip Balm by Eco Lips
Honest Kids Berry Berry Lemonade is a co-branded balm where Eco Lips teamed up with the makers of Honest Tea. Yes, it is technically made for kids, but I love it! It smells kind of like berry ice cream! The cool thing about this being made with great ingredients is that it is 100% edible, so if your kid thinks your lip balm is so tasty it should be a snack, you don't have to worry.

Picture of Restore - Soothing Lip Balm

I can't tell you how many times I've opened this tube to sniff the balm. It's like a little tropical vacation in a tube! The Restore balm is from the Eco Lips One World line, which blends exotic oils from around the world with Fair Trade Certified cocoa butter in tubes made with recycled materials.

I like that each tube has a little safety seal, so if you're buying them in a store, you can feel safe that someone hasn't opened your tube to smell or try it!

You can buy Eco Lips products both online and in stores, or you can win some here! Eco Lips has generously offered one of my readers a lip balm of their choice on an Eco Clip! (Just a note, the ONE WORLD balms are larger than the others, so if you pick one of those, it won't fit the clip.)

To Enter: Check out the Eco Lips web store and tell me which flavor you would like if you win! The bonus entries will NOT count unless you have done this entry first!!

The "SPF 15 UVA/UVB protection with a mixture of mint essential oils" sounds delightful. But really, moreso the one with CAFFEINEEEE!
