Really Stupid Things I Miss About Orlando:
I know, you guys. I miss a ~grocery store~, but that's why this isn't called "totally elegant things I miss". Publix is pretty much the best grocery store in the history of ever, for a lot of reasons. First, it isn't Wal-Mart. Anyone who has had top check out at one of the Wal-Marts near Disney knows you ALWAYS end up behind the Brazillian family who is buying $500 worth of stuff (literally). You still get some tourists in Publix, but nothing like you see at Wal-Mart or Tar-zhay.
The main awesomeness of Publix lies in their store brand stuff, though. They make Publix brand EVERYTHING, and it is all AWESOME. My cats love Publix-brand cat food, which is like $3.50 for a big ol' bag, and I consider their store brand cheese to be superior to all others. But what makes their stuff SUPER-awesome is that the packaging is unbelievably cute. Examples:
#2- SBK Live/Real Radio 104.1
Yes, I can still listen online, but I miss being able to listen in my car!
#3- Palm Trees
They just plain make me happy.
There is nothing better in this world than ordering a cup of queso at Moe's, and then filling up a dozen or so of those little plastic cups with salsa, and then going home and eating it all until I feel like I'm going to die.
There is nothing better than this.
#5- Tijuana Flats
Ok, I know I'm on a roll with food here, but you guys, the hot sauce bar at Tijuana Flats is so amazeballs.
#6- Purple Disney Road Signs
Green road signs are for the real world, purple are for Disney. I lived just off of 536, so it was nice that most signs gave me super easy directions home if I got turned around. (Disney World is big, y'all.)
