Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Bond!

*Thanksgiving: Had a pretty quiet Thanksgiving with my mom this year! I don't eat turkey, and she isn't a huge fan, either, so we just did the whole mashed potatoes/gravy/stuffing thing instead. And the most important part:

I ended up spending a lot of the day napping, not due to food coma (sadly) but because I woke up with a dislocated shoulder and out of place neck, so I wasn't really feeling so awesome. Not a bad holiday overall, though!

*I just noticed that there really aren't any Thanksgiving songs! What's up with that? I think I'm going to start putting together a Thanksgiving playlist next year, so if you have any songs that you think would fit, leave 'em in the comments below! So far the only thing that has come to mind is Be Grateful by The Farm!

*Black Friday: I have never really been one for Black Friday shopping, more because it's super cold this time of year than due to the whole early morning hours thing. Plus, I hate crowded shopping, and I rarely see any deals that interest me enough to go after them. I did kind of do a little Black Friday shopping trip yesterday, though! One of my favorite grocery stores offered a coupon for $10 off $50, which is pretty rad if you ask me. It's a little far from my house, but I'd been planning to make a trip there this week anyway because I was almost totally out of food and they have the best organic and international sections around! I ended up spending a total of $42 after my discount, and got a ton of stuff! YAY!

This was about halfway through my shopping trip, so I got several more things not pictured here, including 2 4-packs of Starbucks Espresso DoubleShots (aka the only thing that keeps me alive), a 6-pk of Fiji Water (aka the only water worth drinking) and a bottle of Neuro Bliss, which I've been wanting to try.

One reason I love this particular store is that they carry every flavor of the Honest Kids juice pouches! My Target sells them a lot cheaper (Around $4 instead of the $6 I paid for these), but they only have the berry lemonade and superfruit punch flavors. I almost bought the grape (my favorite!) in addition to the tropical flavor in the pic, but I just couldn't justify spending $12 on juice pouches in one trip, even if I was kind of getting them "free"!

The tea on the left is also a-mazing! It's $2 a bottle, though, so I almost never buy it. Wish I could find it somewhere for cheaper!

If you didn't guess from the pic, couscous was on sale! (3 for $5, instead of the $2.79 each I usually pay!) That was a big motivating factor in making the long drive to this store! I got 6 of the kind that was on sale (Near East) in various flavors, and then grabbed one box of a brand I've never tried. I think it's safe to say I'm all set with couscous for the month!

Squeaky was also pretty happy about my shopping trip, because he is obsessed with grocery bags:

He has odd hobbies. Speaking of Squeakerific, my friend Tara found the sailor costume I've been wanting for him at her local PetCo and picked it up for me, so we will FINALLY get to see him in that hat soon! (I talked about this in my Halloween tag vlog!)

*Speaking of vlogging, I think I may follow the lead of Miss Glamorazzi/The Gridmonster (who does awesome vlogs) and do Vlogmas this year! (Vlogging every day in December until Christmas). I have a few ideas for vlogs to make during that time, but if you have any ideas or suggestions, I would LOVE to hear them!

*For those of you that do surveys online for extra cash, I totally recommend Poll Buzzer! They don't seem to send surveys that often (I think I've only gotten 3 in the month or so I've been a member), but when they do it is just a single question that takes like 5 seconds to answer, and you get $1 deposited straight to your PayPal for answering. Kinda refreshing after having done so many 20+ minute surveys for the same amount of money!

*Remember last month when I was all "If I don't finish altering 5 dresses by thrift store sale day, I totally can't go!"? HAHAHAH. No. I only finished one sewing project in that time, but I had good reasons (mourning my sweet kitty, and the fact that my mom borrowed my sewing machine and effed it up. ARRGH.) I needed the morale boost, so I went anyway. Totally glad I did, because I got some AWESOME stuff! I really need to make some progress on the actual sewing and altering, though, because the "To be altered" piles are taking over my house!

*If you haven't entered my Friends Prize Pack Giveaway yet, get on that! Last time I checked there were only 40 entries so far!

*BOND! I'm a huge James Bond fan, so when I found out there was a Bond marathon on SyFy on Thanksgiving night, I ended up watching the last half of Die Another Day, and then all of Goldeneye. I just turned the TV on a little bit ago and found the marathon is back tonight, Live and Let Die. Live and Let Die is one of my least favorites (though it's nowhere near as bad as Moonraker), but it does contain my favorite line ("There's no sense in going off half-cocked". after Solitare asks if they can go for round 2.) Thunderball is on next, and it's one of the very few I haven't seen, so I know what I'm doing till at least 4 a.m.! (Thunderball would be an amazing name for a gay porn, btw.)

Who is your favorite Bond? I haven't seen Skyfall yet, by the way, but I really hope to catch it while it is still at IMAX!
