e.l.f. Mineral Lip Gloss in Sorority Girl - Review and Swatches

It's been like a week, but I'm finally getting my e.l.f. reviews started! (Scroll down a few days if you missed the haul! There's a giveaway down there, people!) The first product from that big ol' pile of stuff that I'm going to review is the mineral lip gloss in the shade Sorority Girl. Here's what it looks like on e.l.f.'s site:

             Au Naturale

And what it looks like in person:

As far as the color, it's fairly close to what I expected. (Sometimes e.l.f. products are WAY off from their photos.) The glitter you can see in the swatch above isn't really noticeable on your lips. There isn't much of a scent to it (it has a very light, somewhat sweet smell), and no taste.

When it comes to performance, it's an okay lip gloss, but not spectacular. It gives your lips some color, but not a lot. It feels "thick" on my lips, for lack of a better word to describe it. It's a little sticky. I have to say I'm not really a fan of how it feels on my lips at all, and when I tried to rub it off, it was tough to get that lingering sticky feeling to go away. If I use this, it will probably be on top of a lipstick, not on its own.

There are a total of 10 different shades of mineral lip gloss available. I'd also like to try the color Night Owl, but I doubt I'll be ordering this gloss again unless I'm getting it super cheap again. I totally prefer e.l.f.'s $1 Super Glossy Lip Shine to this supposedly superior $3 gloss. I'm not saying I hate this mineral gloss or anything, it just wasn't a winner for me.

More e.l.f. reviews to come in the next few days!
